The bugle is of good quality, but one drawback is that the valves cannot be removed to empty the spit, which is not ideal. The spit can accumulate inside the horn, which is not ideal. However, for the price of around $20, I can't complain too much. Using a mute can help reduce the spit accumulation. As a former trumpet player, I now understand the importance of a spit valve.
