* Green indicator light means it is vacuuming, red Indicator light means it is sealing .
* When vacuum sealing fluffy food, such as cake, bread, you can repeatedly press the indicator button (press once can begin vacuuming, press again can stop vacuuming) to control the amount of pumping, and then press the seal button to get sealed.

I bought this item for storing homemade fresh dog food when I switched my dog's diet from regular store-bought kibble. I also used it to store meats for myself, and it has performed well. There was one occasion when a bag seal came undone in some small sections, which I think was due to me incorrectly placing the side of the bag on the sealer. The bags have a textured side and a clear side, so make sure to pay attention to which side you use.
